What makes you different?

3

Having the firsthand experience of being a mother—experiencing the immense variety of emotions that go along with the postpartum period, while also healing your body, caring for a newborn, and the many other tasks we do is overwhelming. It is so nice to have someone who can normalize those feelings while also helping you to heal by allowing you to rest, providing support to you while you care for your newborn, as well as integrating the family.

With my experience as a registered nurse, I have seen and heard many stories and been there for people in their most vulnerable hours. This required me to not only use my knowledge, but also my heart. I feel this background prepared me for my role as a postpartum doula.

No- Postpartum doulas support all families who are bringing home a newborn and would like information and support with feeding, sleep, newborn care, family and sibling adjustments, emotional and physical recovery from birth, and managing the home.

Postpartum Doulas work both days and nights. At this time, I currently am available more during the day, however can take some nights upon discussion with you.

Daytime doulas offer emotional, informational, and physical support with breastfeeding, newborn care, and sibling adjustment as well as assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as simple meal preparation and laundry, to allow the recovering parents to rest or take care of themselves.

Night doulas focus on caring for the baby, allowing the parents to get much-needed sleep while supporting breast or chest feeding and helping the family learn healthy sleep habits.
